Hosting the best storytelling nights in London since 2026

The Twist is a live storytelling night founded in London, and one of the best nights out in the city.

With captivating storytellers telling true stories live on-stage, The Twist is a place for speakers and audiences to come together, share experiences and find community.

Some of our speakers are acclaimed writers, stand-ups, and performers. Others may be telling a story live on-stage for the very first time. No matter who you are or where you come from, we believe everyone has a story to tell -- and we want to celebrate that at The Twist.

Every show is a bit different. We host a mix of themed and un-themed spoken word nights across London. Sometimes storytellers are given prompts -- but no topic is off-limits, which is part of what makes our events so exciting. You never know what to expect.

The only rule is every story told on-stage is true.
